Who we are. ScheduleNest is a product of DaFonte Labs, LLC ("DaFonte Labs", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with our website, apps, and related services (together, the "Services").
Contact. Questions or requests: support@schedulenest.com or 402 Pequot Avenue #912, Southport, CT 06890 US.
Scope. This policy applies to information we process about parents/guardians and their families when they use ScheduleNest. We are not a school, we are not a Student Information System (SIS), and we are not affiliated with schools or SIS providers.
1) Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account & contact information. Name, email address, and any information you submit via forms or support.
- Household & child information (provided by you). Child first name or initials, grade/teacher info, classes, activities, and schedule details. You must have legal authority to provide this information.
- Calendar connections. If you connect Google, Apple, or Outlook, we receive tokens and calendar metadata necessary to read/write events that you select. We do not receive your calendar password.
- Imported schedules. Files or text you upload (e.g., Parent Portal exports, CSV/JSON/ICS). We do not request or require school/SIS login credentials.
- Usage & device data. IP address, device/browser type, settings, pages viewed, timestamps, and similar diagnostics.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment processor (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers. We may receive limited details such as the last four digits and transaction identifiers.
We may collect information from you directly, from your connected calendar provider with your permission, and from files you upload. We do not collect information directly from schools or SIS providers.
2) How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and improve the Services. Create and manage schedules, enable calendar sync, generate alerts, render printable/PDF calendars, and maintain functionality.
- Operate, maintain, and secure our infrastructure, including troubleshooting, analytics, and fraud prevention.
- Communicate with you. Send transactional emails (e.g., confirmations, support), product updates, and optional marketing communications (you can opt out at any time).
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service, including protecting our rights and other users.
Legal bases (EEA/UK only). Contract (to provide the Services), legitimate interests (e.g., security, improvement), consent (where required, e.g., marketing), and legal obligation.
3) Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
We share information with:
- Service providers / processors acting on our behalf (e.g., hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing). They must follow our instructions and protect your data.
- Calendar providers when you enable sync (Google, Apple, Microsoft) — we only read/write the calendars and scopes you authorize, and you can revoke access at any time from your provider account.
- Guardians you invite — if you invite co-parents or caregivers, they may see and edit shared schedules and related information per permissions you set.
- Legal, safety, and rights protection — to comply with law, respond to legal requests, or protect the safety, rights, or property of you, us, or others.
- Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
4) Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies to operate the site (e.g., login, security). We may use analytics cookies or privacy-respecting analytics to understand usage and improve the product. You can control cookies through your browser settings. At this time, we do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
5) Children's privacy
ScheduleNest is designed for use by parents/guardians managing a child's schedule. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Parents/guardians may provide a child's information for scheduling purposes; by doing so, you represent that you are the child's parent/guardian or otherwise have legal authorization. If you believe a child has provided information to us directly without consent, contact support@schedulenest.com and we will delete it.
6) Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete your account or specific data, we will delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period. Backups may persist for a limited time (e.g., 30–90 days) but are automatically purged on a rolling basis.
7) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information (e.g., encryption in transit, role-based access). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we discover a security incident affecting your data, we will notify you and/or regulators as required by law.
8) Your rights
United States (including Connecticut). Depending on your state laws (e.g., CTDPA, CPRA/CPRA, VCDPA), you may request: (i) access to and a copy of your personal information; (ii) correction; (iii) deletion; (iv) portability; and (v) to opt out of sales, sharing, or targeted advertising (we do not sell/share for targeted ads). Submit requests at support@schedulenest.com. We may verify your request and respond within the timelines required by law.
EEA/UK. You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, and you may withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9) International data transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where applicable law requires, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.
10) Third-party links and services
Our Services may integrate with or link to third-party sites and services (e.g., Google, Apple, Microsoft). Their processing is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
11) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new "Effective date" and, where required, we will provide additional notice.
